Why we are building Zentoja: Care, not surveillance

Indian families often find themselves scattered across distant towns and cities. Children relocate for higher education or careers in Bengaluru, Pune, or Hyderabad; elderly parents remain in tier-2 and tier-3 towns like Gadag, Hubballi, or Belagavi. The natural result is everyday worry.
Today, families attempt to bridge this anxiety with frequent phone calls, chaotic WhatsApp groups, or intrusive tracking software. But constant surveillance breeds tension. An adult daughter does not want her parents questioning every turn of her commute, and an independent grandparent hates feeling monitored like an infant.
At Zentoja, our foundational premise is clear: Care, not surveillance. Location sharing and health parameters must be off by default for adults. One tap gives consent; one tap instantly revokes it. A daily check-in takes one second: 'I Am Safe'. That single confirmation restores peace of mind without violating autonomy.
We are building Zentoja from Karnataka for families across India. We believe safety software should feel as gentle and respectful as a morning blessing from your elders.
